Under no circumstance shall a refund be granted after any equipment and/or apparel (including but not limited to Camp Gear, Jerseys, etc.) has been ordered.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE POLICY:

Financial Assistance may be available to families on a case by case basis.  All applications for Financial Assistance must be properly filled out by both the parent and the player.  This application must then be presented to the Team Manager to submit to the Board for approval.   If there has not been a Team Manager appointed yet, applications may then and only then be submitted to any member on the Board.  Players may not participate in any team activities until such time as the application is approved by the Board.   Under no circumstances will the Board discuss a request for Financial Assistance without the application.

PLAYER PLACEMENT POLICY:

All players are placed on divisional teams based on weights and ages as set  by the GCYFL.   In cases where a player is eligible for more than one division, the decision on where the player should be placed will be decided upon by the Parent.  If a situation arises in which it is felt that the player has been placed in an unsafe situation, the Athletic Director, Vice President and President will discuss the situation with the player and parent and take appropriate action including but not limited to moving the player to a lower division or removing the player from the program.   Also, in cases where one team's roster is full and one team is short, it may be suggested to the player and family to play on the team that is short handed. This would be a voluntary move decided by the player and parent.

TEAM ROSTER POLICY:

All eligible players registered are placed on the roster for the division in which he or she is eligible. See Player Placement Policy for players eligible for multiple divisions. Once those players are accounted for, siblings of returning spartan football players registered prior to March 1st, 2019, will then be added to the roster for which he or she is eligible. Once those players are accounted for, a total count will be done to determine whether the roster has reached it’s cap.   If the cap has not been reached, then players on the waiting list will be placed on the final roster based on registration date until the roster cap has been met.  If the roster has exceeded the approved cap number, a tryout will be held to determine which players will make the final roster.  The Head Coach, at his own discretion, may opt to take more players than what the roster cap, but may not take less.

Players new to the Saugus Spartans (players who did not play on a Saugus Spartan team during the 2018
season) may register before March 1, 2019, but will be waitlisted until the early registration period ends.
Once the early registration period ends the players on the wait list will be added to the team roster for
their eligible division based on registration date until the roster cap is reached. New players
registering on or after March 1, 2019 will then be added to the team roster for their eligible division
until the roster cap is reached. Once the roster cap is reached the Head Coach may opt to conduct tryouts for the remaining wait listed players. The Head Coach, at his own discretion, may take more players than the roster cap, but not take less.
